WATCH THIS VIDEO OF PENCIL ART BY SOME OF

ELIZABETH’S STUDENTS

--ALL STARTED AS BEGINNERS WITH PENCILS 101

  Join Elizabeth Johnson

for online art lessons on video

One of the wonderful things about learning in the online format is that you can move along at your own pace. Sometimes you will run into a lesson that creates a bit more challenge for you and you need to just stop and sit there for a while. And sometimes life gets in the way and creates a slight detour for a few days. In a group class setting the group must move on whether you are ready for it or not. So, it is nice that here in our internet drawing world you can wait when you need to wait and soar when you are ready to soar.

Elizabeth Gyles Johnson has been creating art for most of her life and has been helping students to discover creativity and their hidden artistic skills since 1999. Although she has taught a variety of art forms, her tools of choice are artist’s pencils. Elizabeth’s calm and encouraging teaching style has opened up the world of drawing to hundreds of students who have discovered they really could learn to draw with her instructions. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her students often comment with delight on the thorough and clear instruction and affirming atmosphere of her classes. Elizabeth encourages each student to find their own sense of creativity and style as they work through her right-brained approach to drawing.

Elizabeth has taught local classes and workshops throughout the Midwest to both children and adults. She teaches all types of artist pencils and in all subjects. When she is not teaching, Elizabeth enjoys creating in her studio. She is an award winning artist and is known for her exquisitely lifelike commissioned animal portraits. Her art is enjoyed in collections internationally.

To quote one of Elizabeth’s long time student’s, “Get ready to be amazed by yourself.”.
